Yes – our timber is locally sourced and responsibly managed.
Most of our wood comes from our friends at The Tree on the Hill – a small, passionate team working just a few miles away. They mill and kiln-dry windblown, dead or responsibly felled trees from the local area. They only stock British hardwoods – including oak, ash, elm, beech, sycamore, cherry and yew – and everything is cut and dried on-site.
Many of our smaller pieces such as coasters and bookmarks are made from offcuts from our larger commissions ensuring nothing goes to waste. We also source and re-purpose offcuts and reclaimed timbers from other wood working businesses in the local area, turning waste into something beautiful.
We only ever use FSC or PFEC certified plywood and MDF board from reputable suppliers with a traceable supply chain.
